HLS ROBO: Students help rural SMEs discover the potential of digitalisation and robotics

Through the HLS-Robo project, students from the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland helped rural SMEs discover how digitalisation and robotics can improve the competitiveness of their businesses. The project received EU funding and was nominated for the ‘Digital Futures’ category of the 2022 EU Rural Inspiration Awards.

Dublin City’s “first of its kind” 5G neutral host network offers wholesale access to multiple operators while reducing infrastructure costs. The project uses ‘street level’ telecommunication and 5G infrastructure by discretely placing small wireless networking cells on existing structures, such as lamp posts and solar compactor bins.
